Woman agent dupes finance company of Rs 16 lakh

NAGPUR: Rita Dhoke, (36)alias Rinu, a finance agent at Kolba Swami finance company, was booked by Tehsil police for cheating the company off Rs 16 lakh on Friday.
The offence of fraud was registered against Dhoke by Ashok Dhapodkar, a resident of Kalamna, who owns the company at Kumbharpura.
Dhapodkar claimed his company had loaned money to people who wanted to buy two-wheelers and had completed the legal formalities with the help of Dhoke.Customers approached the company before March 2016 and started repaying the loan every month.
However, when Dhapodkar checked account balance, he realized the money was not being deposited there but most probably in her personal account. He cross checked with customers who claimed they paid the loan amount in every month. tnn
